GAIN has published its annual report for 2021. It includes the highlights of the year, news about the members, research and training overviews as well as financial and organisational facts.
Some of the highlights of the year 2021 include:
▪️ February: Launch of the newly designed public website aeroindustry.ch
▪️ March-November: GAIN welcomed three new members within its Board of Directors: Patrick Antonietti from Kudelski Security, Manu Lubrano from INVOLI, and Marc Guedj from Safran Colibrys. Through the year, the Board worked on several topics from various perspectives: investing in mutualization of training programs and in R&D projects in partnership with Universities; strengthening our organisation to take part in the offset transactions under Air2030 Program; sharpening our focus on sustainability values and supporting business to set ambitious GHG emissions reductions targets; deepening members’ knowledge on important topics and understanding industry best practices.
▪️ September: Creation of the Innovation Committee, under the direction of Yves Mathys, COO of Mercury Systems, to support companies’ R&D activities. The goal of this new Committee within GAIN is to develop new intellectual property portfolios as well as new commercial, product and service opportunities through joint projects. One important aim of the Committee’s work is to deepen members’ knowledge on certain subjects such as automation, Drones, Space and Hydrogen applications.
▪️ November: Launch of the Decarbonisation Committee with Vincent Gillet, CEO of Kugler Bimetal, as Head of the Committee. GAIN is committed to contribute to the decarbonisation of the aerospace sector by providing to its members a clearly defined pathway to reduce GHG, and helping define climate roadmaps.
